Job summary

LaFontaine Infiniti Troy is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. This role offers a tiered pay plan, longevity bonus, and on-the-job training in a leading Michigan dealership.

Qualified candidates will have experience with Infiniti, a high school diploma or GED, Michigan Mechanic Certification, and strong communication skills. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and maintain a clean workspace.

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to meet production and quality standards.
• Michigan Mechanic Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair as authorized.
• Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain the needed parts.
• Tag and save parts, turn in parts, if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Advise the service advisor immediately if any additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed in time.
• Document work performed.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure repair has addressed the customer complaint.
• Quality check work performed.
• Attend training classes.
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Ensure that customers’ vehicles are kept clean.
