Job summary

The Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) offers military Veterans a chance to become Kia Certified Service Technicians. Full-time positions are available with independently owned Kia Retailers, providing access to tools and equipment necessary for the role.

Job description

Kia Retailers are offering skilled and experienced military Veterans the opportunity to begin a career as a Kia Certified Service Technician through the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), established by Kia America, Inc.

Job Description

1. Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
2. Complete repair orders and warranty requests following Kia and Retailer policies and procedures.
3. Test drive vehicles, analyze, diagnose, and repair components and systems using Kia diagnostic strategies, special equipment, and tools.
4. Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs efficiently while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to ensure an optimal customer experience.

Additional Information

Employment opportunities are with independently owned Kia Retailers. Applicants are applying for full-time positions with a participating Kia Retailer, not directly with KUS or ERS. Employment decisions are at each Kia Retailer's discretion, based on eligibility, skills, and experience.

Requirements

• Honorable Discharge
• Valid Driver's License from any state with a clean driving record
