Job summary

Bridgestone Americas is looking for an Automotive Technician in Rockford, IL. You will learn and perform diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under experienced technicians, with hands-on practice and customer interactions to explain repairs and ensure quality workmanship in a fast-paced shop environment.

The role uses flat-rate pay and offers opportunities for ASE certification, with a sign-on bonus of $1,500 for first-time hires and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and be able to drive company vehicles.
• Basic knowledge of oil changes, inspections and tire repair.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance.
• Install parts.
• Road test vehicles.
• Pursue ASE certifications (A1–A8) within two years; fees paid by the company and bonus for tests passed.
