Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) in Chicago, IL, is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles within our service team. You will learn hands-on under experienced technicians, perform inspections, and assist with customer communications to ensure quality workmanship.

The role features a sign-on bonus of $1,500 for first-time hires and a flat-rate pay model ranging from $20.13 to $30.25 per hour. On-the-job training and ASE certification support are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid automobile driver’s license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and perform preventive maintenance.
• Reading, writing and math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and install parts.
• Road test vehicles and document results.
• Pursue ASE certifications within first two years of employment (company pays tests/fees).
