Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care in North Carolina seeks a General Automotive Technician to service a broad range of vehicle repair issues and quickly identify performance problems. You will perform Total Car Care and preventative maintenance, assist other technicians, and explain inspection findings to writers and technicians.

The role requires at least 2 years of general automotive/R&R experience, a valid driver’s license, and ownership of professional-grade tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience as a General Automotive/R&R Technician.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Own professional grade tools to service any general repair need.
• Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Total Car Care & Preventative Maintenance.
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities.
• Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to service writers and technicians.
• Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools and repair techniques.
• Professionally record findings so that repairs costs are accurately estimated.
