Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect and diagnose vehicles, repair systems, and recondition cars to meet safety and reliability standards. You will work with a skilled team, gain hands-on experience on domestic and foreign vehicles, and uphold CarMax’s commitment to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong health and safety compliance knowledge.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and ASE certifications where required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to CarMax standards.
• Collaborate with a team to resolve technical challenges quickly.
• Gain hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Uphold customer satisfaction and trust.
• Follow EH&S requirements and keep a clean, orderly area.
