Job summary

United Access L.L.C. in Arlington, TX is seeking a General Service Technician. This role covers vehicle check-in, reconditioning, and basic maintenance to ensure safe and sale-ready vehicles.

You will work with WAVs and mobility lifts, manage rental check-ins, and assist customers with pickups as needed. The position requires 1–2 years of automotive repair experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• One to Two years of general automotive repair / maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Basic mechanical skills and willingness to learn.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/kneel for extended periods.
• Keen attention to detail and adaptable attitude.
• Willingness to pursue formal automotive training.
• Maintain a minimum of 6 billed hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Check-In: check in vehicles upon delivery to the dealership.
• Vehicle Reconditioning: recondition trade-in and customer vehicles to sale condition.
• General Automotive Maintenance: perform routine maintenance and basic repairs.
• WAVs and Lift Support: assist with repairs and installation on WAVs and mobility lifts.
• Rental Vehicle Management: check in and occasionally deliver rental vehicles.
• Customer Pickup Assistance: assist with customer pickups and mobility equipment.
• Trade-In Vehicle Reconditioning: recondition traded-in vehicles.
• Work Area Cleanliness: maintain a clean shop workspace.
• Safety and Compliance: follow safety protocols and company policies.
• Additional Duties: assist with other tasks as assigned by management.
