Automotive Technician (Journeyman to Senior Master Level)
Schicker Ford of Union is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. ASE certification is required; OEM certification—especially Ford—is a plus. Responsibilities:
Perform repairs and maintenance as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy
Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools and special service equipment to identify issues
Diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC
Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding additional work needed, estimated repair time, and customer updates
Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and guidelines
Qualifications:
ASE certification or equivalent required; Ford certification preferred but not necessary
Proven experience as an automotive technician with expertise in diagnostics and repair
Strong knowledge of automotive systems and advanced repair techniques
Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with Service Advisors and customers
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player
