Qualifications

Associate’s degree in a related field or related combination with a technical diploma in Automotive Maintenance; may be considered if completing within a set time after hire.
ASE-Certified Master Automobile & Light Truck Technician; must meet A1-A8, G1, L1-3 and renewal every five years.
Minimum of 2 years (4,000 hours) of occupational experience in the program area, with 1 year (2,000 hours) in the last 5 years.
EPA 609 MVAC Certification for Automotive Air Conditioning.
Prior teaching or training experience preferred but not required.
ASE Instructors must attend at least 20 hours of industry update training each year.
