Job summary

Grease Monkey Centerville, UT is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician A to perform brakes, oil changes, transmissions, and other maintenance tasks. You will inspect vehicles, educate customers on preventive maintenance, and support junior technicians as needed.

A strong mechanical background and safety focus are required. This full-time position offers hourly pay plus commission typical at the shop, with opportunities to advance and gain ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine tickets, notes and other correspondence.
• Valid Driver's License; State Emission Certification if applicable; ASE Certifications are a huge plus; State Vehicle Inspector Certification if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and diagnostics as outlined on repair orders, with efficiency and accuracy.
• Works on more complex repairs and diagnostics, including transmissions, heavy-line repairs and engine overhauls.
• Helps in training Technicians B and C.
• Repairs brakes, A/C, transmissions, power steering and suspension; diagnoses and repairs vehicles based on customer concerns and inspections.
• Documents all work and road-tests vehicles; notifies management of any vehicle damage.
• Keeps shop areas neat, clean and organized; ensures safety compliance.
