Job summary
The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack of California is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will explain repairs clearly to customers and coworkers and stay updated with evolving automotive technology.
You will train others, maintain a clean and safe shop, and meet policy and safety standards. A high school diploma or GED is required; 1+ year diagnostic/repair experience; ASE
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- At least 1 year of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience.
- 2+ ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering & Suspension, A5 Brakes).
- Section 609 certification preferred.
- State Inspection license if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair to specifications including brake/hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension, and alignment.
- Perform duties of lower roles (Mechanic and General Service Technician).
- Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
