Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Automotive Mechanic Technician I in Michigan to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on a fleet of vehicles. The role supports safety standards and requires the ability to work independently or with a team, following supervisor directions.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and at least 1 year of vehicle service or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of vehicle service and repair experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to workdays, afternoons, weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Must continue training to meet technology and fleet changes.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive Maintenance: oil changes, filters, batteries, inspections.
• Perform repairs and diagnostics as directed.
• Work on OBD II systems, brakes, tires, tune-ups, suspensions, electrical, and drive-line components.
• Keep the shop area clean and safe; dispose of fluids properly.
• Work independently or in a team and follow supervisor directions.
