Job summary

McDonald Toyota Fort Morgan is seeking an experienced automotive technician to diagnose and repair used vehicles at our Fort Morgan service center. The role requires 1-3 years of experience, ASE or Toyota certification preferred, and the ability to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models.

We offer competitive hourly pay between $38 and $42 per hour, overtime, bonuses, and a supportive, team-oriented environment in a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• 1-3 years of automotive technician experience is required.
• Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes models, and sizes.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment; team-oriented, flexible, and focused on customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, electrical, engine, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
• Toyota and ASE certified required, or willing to get certified in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair used vehicles to specifications, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices.
• Tear down, repair, replace, and/or rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, linkages, pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings for all used vehicles.
• Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels and repairs manual and automatic transmissions.
• Adequately explains the technical diagnosis and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
