Job summary
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our service centers across the United States. This role offers guaranteed earnings with a flat rate structure and a path to build a customer book while working within Goodyear’s extensive benefits program.
You’ll diagnose and repair automotive systems, maintain safety standards, and stay current with evolving vehicle technologies.
Qualifications
- Three years of automotive repair experience or three years as a military vehicle maintenance specialist.
- Valid driver's license and ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Michigan Certification in Suspension & Steering, Brakes, and HVAC, or ASE equivalents.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems including brakes, suspension, alignment, engine performance, air conditioning, and coolant systems.
- Troubleshoot problems and demonstrate diagnostic skills using the latest technology.
- Mentor teammates and learn new techniques as automotive technology evolves.
- Maintain high safety, service, and housekeeping standards with protective equipment.
- Perform manual tasks such as lifting tires and long periods of standing.
