Job summary

DriveTime is seeking an Automotive Technician to inspect, diagnose and repair a range of vehicles, ensuring quality maintenance and safe operation. You will handle emissions tests where applicable, move vehicles, manage inventory, and document work in our systems.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, plus 3+ years in automotive repair or related certificate/degree, and be able to communicate issues and solutions clearly while meeting performance targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; certificate or associate degree in automotive technology or 3+ years of repair experience.
• Must be proficient in automotive repairs and able to troubleshoot common issues.
• Able to communicate causes and corrections clearly and meet performance targets.
• Comfort with computer systems and maintaining organized, safe workspaces.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform advanced vehicle repairs and maintenance, including emissions testing where applicable.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair multiple makes and models in DriveTime inventory.
• Explain repairs and issues to management to minimize re-work and delays.
• Document all work in DriveTime systems and keep the work area clean and safe.
