Job summary

Enterprise Mobility in Norfolk, VA is hiring an Automotive Technician to repair vehicles, perform recalls and warranty service, and maintain records. The role offers a fast-paced environment and opportunities to work with advanced diagnostic tools.

Shift options: Mon-Fri 4:30am-1:00pm or 11:30am-8:00pm. Starting pay $29-$33/hr with overtime and a $2/hr differential for the second shift, plus full benefits and employee discounts.

Qualifications

  • Two years of mechanical experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles.
  • OEM Level III Certification OR 4 current ASE certifications.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; no drug/alcohol incidents in past 3 years.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • VA State Inspection Certification preferred.
  • Ownership of standard hand tools for repairs and maintenance.
  • Pre-employment drug test and random drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure repairs and preventive maintenance meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Complete required manufacturer training and perform warranty/recall repairs.
  • Complete ADA installs after training.
  • Document repair history with Repair Orders reflecting steps and parts used.
  • Provide safe and reliable vehicles after service.
  • Follow part and inventory tracking procedures.
  • Utilize multiple manufacturers’ websites, software and diagnostic tools.
  • May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy-backs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Perform manual labor including bending, lifting and prolonged standing.

The Automotive Technician performs vehicle repair, manufacture recall and warranty service, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting and vehicle certification and reconditioning services according to company policy and procedures. This position requires the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative. Performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards.

We are currently looking for technicians that can work one of the following schedules:
  • Monday - Friday: 4:30am - 1:00pm
  • Monday - Friday: 11:30am - 8:00pm

This position is located at the Norfolk Service Center, 1195 Lance Road, Norfolk, VA 23502.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines.
  • Complete required manufacturer's training and perform warranty and recall repairs.
  • Complete ADA installs as required upon completion of training.
  • Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.
  • Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures.
  • Utilize multiple manufacturers’ websites, software and diagnostic tools.
  • May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy-backs.
  • Maintain the work area in a safe and clean condition.
  • Requires ability to perform manual labor, such as, bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate physical activity which requires handling of objects up to 50 pounds with long periods of standing and walking.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as required.

Qualifications
  • Two years of mechanical experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles required.
  • OEM Level III Certification OR 4 current ASE certifications required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 convicted moving violations and/or at-fault accidents. No drug or alcohol related incidents with the past 3 years (Total points on driving record cannot exceed 8 points).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • VA State Inspection Certification Preferred
  • Requires ownership of standard hand tools to perform repairs and maintenance on current vehicles (produced in the last 3 years)
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Apart from religious observation, must be able to work a full-time shift for the one of the following schedules: Monday - Friday: 11:30am - 8:00pm
