Bergey’s Inc. is seeking a skilled automotive technician/mechanic to diagnose and repair vehicles across all areas, with specialization in certain repair domains. This role requires experience as an A or B-Class technician and a strong commitment to quality service.

The technician will perform repairs according to repair orders, communicate with the parts department, document work, and may road test vehicles. Valid driver’s license and ASE/state certification readiness are required.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications and state inspections preferred.
• Experience as automotive technician/mechanic at a dealership or shop.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanic work per repair order.
• Diagnoses malfunctions and performs repairs.
• Coordinates with parts department to obtain parts.
• Documents work performed and recommendations on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles when required.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Pay: up to $125000 / year

Summary

Functions as a skilled-level automotive technician/mechanic who is able to perform diagnoses and repairs in all areas, in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair and who has previously worked as an A or B-Class general service auto technician/mechanic.

Essential Duties

• Performs mechanic work as an automotive technician outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair as an automotive technician.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts as a mechanic.
• Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer as a mechanic.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended as a mechanic.
• Auto Mechanic/Automotive Technician communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order as a mechanic.
• Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test automotive technician.
• Other tasks as assigned.
