Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) is hiring an Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in a fast-paced retail service setting. You learn under experienced technicians and may interact with customers to explain repairs and ensure quality workmanship.

Flat-rate pay is used, with regional variations and pay between roughly $16–$24 per hour, plus benefits. Responsibilities include oil changes, brake and steering inspections, tire maintenance, and road testing.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Must have a valid automobile driver's license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance including oil changes.
• Basic inspections and tire repair.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Two years of automotive repair experience or vocational training (preferred).
• ASE certification or equivalent training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance services.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance.
• Install parts and road test vehicles.
• Work toward ASE certifications within two years.
