Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company seeks a mid-level automotive technician to gain hands-on experience in Goodyear Auto Service centers. You will diagnose issues using mechanical aptitude and deliver outstanding service while supporting a fast-paced team.

You will work with brakes, alignments, maintenance, and tire installation; training is provided to advance into technician, sales, or management roles. Valid driver’s license and 18+ are required; sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Ability to learn rapidly in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Responsibilities

Perform line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, and problem-solving, brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, wheel alignments, and tire installation.
Provide clear guest communication and mentoring to junior automotive technicians.
Document all work performed on the repair order.
Report any safety issues immediately to management.
Promote teamwork to deliver times and accurate guest care during operating hours.
Maintain adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation.
Perform manual tasks for extended periods, including lifting tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.
