Job summary

CarMax in Columbus, OH is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles, from engines to brakes, ensuring safety and reliability.

You will join a team in a climate-controlled facility, receive ongoing training, and work with advanced tools to gain hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles. ASE certifications and a valid driver’s license are important. CarMax offers growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Where required by State/Local law, maintain ASE Certifications.
