Job summary

DOBBS TIRE & AUTO CENTERS is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, including tire services and alignments. You will work closely with a team to uphold quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced shop environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in automotive repair and a post-secondary vocational background in automotive technology, with strong diagnostics and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive repair.
• 1+ year as an alignment technician or completion of a post-secondary vocational program in automotive technology.
• Extensive knowledge of tire installation, wheel balancing, and diagnosing ride disturbances.
• Growing knowledge of steering, suspension, and general vehicle maintenance.
• Proficient with standard diagnostic tools and repair equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to ensure safe operation.
• Perform wheel alignments, tire services, and suspension/ steering adjustments.
• Conduct general vehicle maintenance: oil changes, brake service, fluid checks, tune-ups.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate service records per company policies.
• Work with team to maintain efficiency, quality, safety.
• Ensure safety procedures and keep workspace clean.
