Job summary

DOBBS TIRE & AUTO CENTERS is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in a fast-paced shop. The technician will perform inspections, wheel alignments, tire services, oil changes, and general maintenance using specialized tools and equipment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of automotive repair experience, knowledge of steering and suspension, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive repair experience.
• 2-4 years of hands-on training in automotive maintenance.
• 1+ year of alignment technician experience or completion of a post-secondary vocational program in automotive technology.
• Extensive knowledge of tire installation, wheel balancing, and diagnosing ride disturbances.
• Growing knowledge of steering, suspension, and general vehicle maintenance.
• Proficient in using standard automotive diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Solid understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to ensure safe operation.
• Perform wheel alignments, tire services, and suspension/steering adjustments.
• Conduct general vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake service, fluid checks, and tune-ups.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate service records per company policies.
• Collaborate with team to maintain efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Adhere to safety procedures and keep a clean work environment.
• Explain findings and recommended repairs clearly to customers.
