Job summary

Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, perform inspections, alignment adjustments, tire services, and general maintenance using specialized tools. The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and safety in a fast-paced shop.

You will work with a motivated team to meet department goals, uphold quality standards, keep accurate service records, and communicate findings clearly to guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive repair or 2–4 years of hands-on training in automotive maintenance.
• 1+ year of alignment technician experience or completion of a post-secondary vocational program in automotive technology.
• Extensive knowledge of tire installation, wheel balancing, and diagnosing ride disturbances.
• Growing knowledge of steering, suspension, and general vehicle maintenance.
• Proficient in standard automotive diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Solid understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to ensure safe operation.
• Perform wheel alignments and tire services.
• Conduct general vehicle maintenance including oil changes and brake service.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and fix mechanical and electrical issues.
• Maintain accurate service records per company policies.
• Collaborate with team to maintain efficiency and safety.
• Adhere to safety procedures and keep the work area organized.
• Explain findings and recommended repairs to customers clearly.
