Job summary

WHITEWATER CDJR OF ST CHARLES INC is seeking a full-time automotive technician to perform maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles. You will diagnose issues using diagnostic equipment, communicate clearly with customers, and plan repair procedures with manuals and experience.

The role involves oil changes, tire rotations, brake work, and routine maintenance. A willingness to learn, professional appearance, and ASE or a driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ASE certification preferred.
• Experience in automotive repair is a plus; willingness to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on customer vehicles.
• Identify problems with vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
• Explain repairs and provide excellent customer service.
• Plan repair procedures using manuals and experience.
• Test functionality of parts and systems.
• Perform oil changes, fluid checks and tire rotations.
• Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other parts.
• Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work.
• Be prepared to obtain additional certifications as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and present a professional appearance.
