Job summary

The Press Club Grill in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our team. You will perform State and Safety inspections, diagnose customer vehicles, and prepare written estimates, documenting findings on work orders for every service.

You will explain repairs to customers, operate vehicles safely, maintain shop equipment, and handle tasks from alignments and brake work to tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation, and sensor replacements in a busy, customer-focused shop.

Responsibilities

• State and Safety Inspections
• Inspect and Diagnose customer vehicles
• Put together a written estimate for services needed
• Document initial findings and work performed on work orders
• Diagnose, explain and recommend repairs to customers
• Operate Company and Customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Maintain Company equipment and tool inventory
• Comfortably lift between 10-60lbs
• Keep work areas clean, organized and safe
• 2 and 4 wheel Alignments
• Steering and Suspension repairs
• Complete Brake Services
• Wheel Bearings
• Shocks and Struts
• Vehicle tune up and preventive maintenance
