Job summary

Paycom - ATS in San Marcos, TX seeks an Automotive Technician C to perform brake, oil change, transmission, cooling system, tire and related services. You will educate customers on maintenance, document work, and conduct road tests as needed. Candidates must have at least two years' related experience, read manuals, and hold a valid driver's license. State emissions/vehicle inspector certs may apply. On-site role.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience or training required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine tickets, notes and other correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers.
• Valid Driver's License.
• State Emission Certification and Vehicle Inspector Certification if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs repair work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnoses vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.
• Documents all work performed and road tests vehicles as needed.
• Keeps shop areas neat, clean and organized and maintains tools.
