You will perform general repairs, inspections, and maintenance in a small, family-oriented shop, with owners actively involved in daily operations. The position emphasizes quality workmanship, transparent inspections, and opportunities for training and certification.

Qualifications

• Experience in an independent repair shop or dealership.
• Ability to independently complete general automotive repairs and maintenance.
• Pennsylvania Safety and Emissions License required.
• Experience with brake repair, inspections and general mechanical repair.
• Additional automotive certifications are preferred.
• Experience with domestic and Asian vehicles is relevant.
• Familiarity with Tekmetric and Snap-on diagnostic equipment is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform general automotive repair and preventive maintenance on domestic and Asian vehicles.
• Complete Pennsylvania safety and emissions inspections.
• Diagnose and repair common mechanical concerns within the scope of general repair.
• Perform brake repairs and related brake system service.
• Replace mechanical and electrical components, including oil pans and alternators.
• Complete maintenance services and vehicle inspections.
• Document vehicle condition and repair findings using Tekmetric Digital Vehicle Inspections.
• Use shop equipment and the Snap-on Solus scan tool as appropriate for assigned work.

Typical Flagged Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week

Introduction

We are seeking a B Level Automotive Technician for an independent repair shop in Olyphant, PA. This position pays $25-$35/hour on a hybrid pay plan with a Monday-Friday schedule. The role focuses on general automotive repair, maintenance, and Pennsylvania safety and emissions inspections rather than heavy diagnostics. You'll work in a small, family-oriented environment where the owners are actively involved in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general automotive repair and preventive maintenance on primarily domestic and Asian vehicles.
• Complete Pennsylvania safety and emissions inspections.
• Diagnose and repair common mechanical concerns within the scope of general repair work.
• Perform brake repairs and related brake system service.
• Replace mechanical and electrical components, including oil pans and alternators.
• Complete maintenance services and vehicle inspections.
• Document vehicle condition and repair findings using Tekmetric Digital Vehicle Inspections.
• Use shop equipment and the Snap-on Solus scan tool as appropriate for assigned work.

Compensation & Benefits

• $25-$35/hour
• Paid weekly.
• Current technician production is approximately 40 hours per week.
• One week of PTO after 90 days and two weeks after one year.
• Six major paid holidays.
