• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician in a dealership or independent shop environment.
• ASE Certification (or equivalent) preferred; additional manufacturer certifications are a plus. Not Needed.
• Proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles (domestic ,MAINLY import, and/or luxury brands).
• Strong diagnostic skills using OBD-II scanners and advanced diagnostic tools/software.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Skilled in performing repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and HVAC.
• Familiarity with modern vehicle technology including hybrid and electric systems is a plus.
• Ability to operate shop equipment such as lifts, alignment machines, tire changers, etc.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Must have own set of professional-grade tools (shop may provide some specialty tools).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain issues and repairs to service advisors.
• Willingness to attend ongoing training and certification programs as required.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a fast-paced environment.
