Job summary

Enterprise Mobility invites applications for an Apprentice Automotive Technician at our Fresno, CA service center. You will learn alongside seasoned technicians, performing oil changes, brake work, diagnostics, and basic repairs while documenting work and adhering to safety standards.

This role offers hands-on training to obtain ASE certifications, with wage progression after earning mandatory ASEs. Scheduling includes early morning shifts and weekend availability; benefits are provided upon

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license.
• Two years mechanical experience in automotive repair preferable.
• Experience with oil changes and brakes is required.
• Two ASE certifications or OEM training within 12 months of hire is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians to diagnose and repair vehicles.
• Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and guidelines.
• Document repair orders and maintain vehicle repair history.
• Follow safety and environmental standards and keep workspace clean.

This position is located at our Service Center at 5074 E Andersen Ave Fresno, CA 93727. The pay for this position starts at $25.50 / hour. After the first 2 required ASEs, there is the ability to increase pay by $1 / hour up to 4 total ASEs.

The Automotive Technician Associate will work alongside Automotive Technicians to learn and gain experience diagnosing and repairing vehicles across several manufacturer lines until they have gained the necessary qualifications to become an Automotive Technician.

Automotive Technician Associate Benefits

This position requires a valid CA drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside an experienced auto technician as directed by supervisor or manager, to gain experience in the following areas:
• Ensure that all mechanical repairs are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines
• Complete manufacturer required training and perform warranty and recall repairs according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines.
• Complete ADA installs as required upon completion of training
• Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.
• Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures
• Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of all services
• Utilize multiple manufacturers’ websites, software and diagnostic tools
• May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy backs
• Update job knowledge by participating in company and manufacturer approved training or other industry related training
• Follow proper procedures to comply with all health, safety and environmental standards
• Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards
• Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications

• The ability to operate a motor vehicle is an essential function of this position. Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license
• Two years of mechanical experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles.
• Must have experience with oil changes, brakes, diagnose or drivability concerns
• 2 current and valid ASE certifications OR OEM training/certifications required.
  • Hire with manufacturer training with agreement of obtaining 2 ASE certifications within 12 months of hire
• Degree in Automotive Technology, completion of Automotive Technical College or Technical Vocational training preferred
• Understanding of GM, Ford, Toyota, and Chrysler warranty procedures is a plus.
• A minimum of basic level experience and understanding of a PC and Microsoft Product is required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
