Job summary

Enterprise Mobility is hiring an Apprentice Automotive Technician to learn vehicle diagnostics and repairs alongside seasoned technicians at the Fresno Service Center. The role requires weekend/evening availability and a valid CA driver’s license.

Compensation starts at $25.50 per hour with potential increases after ASEs. Benefits include PTO, health and life insurance, retirement plan, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two years of mechanical experience in an automotive repair shop.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must read, write, and speak English to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside an experienced automotive technician to gain hands-on experience.
• Perform repairs according to manufacturer specifications and guidelines.
• Complete required training and assist with warranty and recall work.
• Maintain repair history by documenting Repair Orders and parts used.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and manufacturer websites as needed.
• Follow health, safety and environmental standards and keep workspace clean.

The Enterprise brand of Enterprise Mobility has an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician Associate will spend up to 6 months working alongside Automotive Technicians to learn and gain experience diagnosing and repairing vehicles across several manufacturer lines until they have gained the necessary qualifications to become an Automotive Technician.

The successful candidate will be required to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, nights, and some holidays depending on business demand.

This position is located at our Service Center at 5074 E Anderson Ave Fresno, CA 93727.

The pay for this position starts at $25.50 / hour. After the first 2 required ASEs, there is the ability to increase pay by $1 / hour up to 4 total ASEs.

Automotive Technician Associate Benefits:

• ASE Certification testing reimbursement (A1-A8, A9 and T1 or T2) upon passing

This position requires a valid CA drivers license.

Responsibilities

We are hiring now for immediate openings. Responsibilities include:

• Work alongside an experienced auto technician as directed by supervisor or manager, to gain experience in the following areas:
• Ensure that all mechanical repairs are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines
• Complete manufacturer required training and perform warranty and recall repairs according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines.
• Complete ADA installs as required upon completion of training
• Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.
• Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures
• Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of all services
• Utilize multiple manufacturers’ websites, software and diagnostic tools
• May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy backs
• Update job knowledge by participating in company and manufacturer approved training or other industry related training
• Follow proper procedures to comply with all health, safety and environmental standards
• Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards
• Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications

• The ability to operate a motor vehicle is an essential function of this position. Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license
• Two years of mechanical experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles.
• 1 current and valid ASE certification OR OEM training/certifications required.
• Hire with manufacturer training with agreement of obtaining 2 ASE certifications within 12 months of hire
• Degree in Automotive Technology, completion of Automotive Technical College or Technical Vocational training preferred
• Understanding of GM, Ford, Toyota, and Chrysler warranty proceduresis a plus.
• A minimum of basic level experience and understanding of a PC and Microsoft Product is required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require workauthorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
