Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our Bridgestone Retail Operations team in Hawaii.

You will learn and perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance tasks on customer vehicles under guidance from skilled technicians, while delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced store environment. The role emphasizes oil changes, inspections, tire services, battery and electrical checks, and customer interactions to explain repairs and ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Must have a valid driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including: oil changes, basic inspections, repairing tires.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
• Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance.
• Install parts.
• Road test vehicles.
• Aim to obtain/maintain ASE certifications within first two years of employment (tests and fees paid by company; bonus for each test passed).
