Job summary

Bridgestone Americas is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our service team in California. You will learn and perform diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance under guidance from experienced technicians, while delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include oil changes, tire maintenance, inspecting steering and braking systems, and assisting customers by explaining repair procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include the ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Must have a valid automobile driver’s license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic understanding of automotive maintenance and tire repair services.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
• Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance.
• Install parts.
• Road test vehicles.
• Pursue ASE certifications within first two years (tests and fees paid by company).

Skills

Valid driver's license

Basic mechanical aptitude

Education

Vocational-Technical School program in automotive

ASE certification or equivalent training
