Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Latham, NY is hiring an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) to perform essential repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles across brands. You will work with minimal supervision to keep vehicles reliable and customer-ready.

You’ll handle oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake work, suspension repairs, and routine maintenance, with opportunities to assist senior technicians as you continue to build your ASE credentials and shop skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years professional auto repair experience or automotive coursework with certifications.
• At least 1 ASE certification, ability to obtain 2 more within the first year.
• Must have a complete set of tools for automotive repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake work, suspension repairs and routine maintenance.
• Complete warranty-related repairs based on experience level.
• Assist senior technicians with more complex diagnostic and repair work.
• Maintain vehicle reliability and safety to support positive customer experiences.
