Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations in Akron, OH is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians. You will learn foundational skills through hands-on work across automotive systems and services in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include oil changes, inspections, tire maintenance, battery work, and road testing. You may pursue ASE certifications within two years; we offer training and a performance-based pay model.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times.
• Basic understanding of automotive maintenance & tire repair services.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
• Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance.
• Install parts.
• Road test vehicles.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications within first two years of employment.
