Job summary

Audi New Orleans, part of Sonic Automotive, is hiring an Automotive Service Technician to repair and maintain vehicles per dealer and factory standards. You will supervise apprentices and participate in factory training to stay current with technical bulletins.

The role requires diagnosing malfunctions, ordering parts, and ensuring customer vehicles are serviced accurately and efficiently in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• High CSI is a must.
• ASE or manufacturing training.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Able to pass pre-employment testing (background checks, MVR, drug test).

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders from dispatcher and assign to stall area.
• Perform repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Road-test vehicles or refer to the test technician.
• Supervise any apprentice technicians and attend factory training classes.
