Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet high safety and reliability standards. You will work with a team in a climate-controlled, modern shop, gaining hands-on experience on both domestic and foreign vehicles.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with engine repair, steering/suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong health and safety compliance understanding.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet CarMax quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with a team to solve technical challenges quickly.
• Gain hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Uphold customer satisfaction and trust; maintain clean work area.
• Follow CarMax EH&S requirements and safety protocols.
