Job summary

Land Rover Santa Monica, part of Sonic Automotive, is hiring an Apprentice Technician to join our service team in Santa Monica, CA. This entry-level position offers hands-on training and mentorship from experienced technicians to develop skills toward becoming a certified automotive technician.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and committed to workmanship and customer satisfaction. Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the United States are required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Completion of pre-employment checks including background and MVR review.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes and tire rotations.
• Learn to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and computerized systems under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Complete required Land Rover training courses and development programs.
• Follow dealership policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
