Job summary

Halfords Autocentre Apprenticeship offers hands-on training across servicing, inspections and repairs on a variety of makes and models. Apprentices develop diagnostic skills, learn to diagnose faults and perform repairs with guidance from mentors.

You will learn workplace safety, vehicle inspection, maintenance and fault diagnosis across engine, electrical and chassis systems, while working in a customer‑facing role.

Qualifications

• GCSEs Maths and English at Grade C or above (or equivalents).
• Interest in cars and problem solving.
• Friendly, team oriented with a desire to build a career as a Vehicle Technician.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge to diagnose and repair vehicles to high standards.
• Work on a range of tasks from servicing to complex repairs under supervision.
• Learn diagnostic methods and equipment usage.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure quality service.
