Vaden Automotive is seeking an Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our high-volume service department. This role offers hands-on learning from experienced technicians and the chance to build a long-term career in the automotive industry.

Qualifications

• Dealership or independent shop automotive repair/maintenance experience (1 year required).
• Interest in diagnostics and advancing technical skills.
• Certifications preferred; any relevant industry certifications are bonus.
• Versatile skill set and willingness to take on varied tasks.
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check, MVR, and drug screen.
• Dealership experience: 1 year (required).
• Automotive repair experience: 1 year (required).

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs independently.
• Test and inspect vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Remove and replace major components such as engines and transmissions under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, accounting for dealership-owned tools.
• Follow company, safety, and environmental policies at all times.
• Stay engaged in continuous training and development opportunities.

What We're Looking For

• Automotive repair or maintenance experience in a dealership or independent shop

• A strong interest in diagnostics, repair, and advancing technical skills

• Manufacturer or ASE certifications preferred any relevant industry certifications are considered a bonus and show a commitment to professional development

• Versatile skill set and willingness to take on varied tasks

• A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform tasks that involve bending, stretching, standing, and climbing for extended periods

• Comfortable working with power tools and diagnostic equipment

• Valid driver's license and the ability to pass a pre-employment background check, MVR, and drug screen

• Dealership experience: 1 year (required)

• Automotive repair experience: 1 year (required)
