Job summary

Promotive in Pelion, SC is seeking an experienced automotive technician (A Level or High-Level B) to handle major repairs, diagnostics, and complex vehicle issues. The role offers a hybrid pay plan with an hourly base and weekly profit sharing, along with ongoing training and a supportive team environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as automotive technician; 10+ years preferred for A-Level candidates.
• Ability to perform major repairs and diagnostics independently.
• Valid Driver’s License required; ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on domestic, Asian, and select European vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension and braking systems.
• Complete engine and transmission R&R operations efficiently and accurately.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and wiring diagrams to identify vehicle concerns.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting, drivability diagnostics, and vehicle inspections.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) and document findings and repair recommendations.
• Collaborate with service advisors and team members to ensure workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
