Job summary

Toyota of Tri-Cities is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join their Kennewick service team. The role focuses on performing repairs and maintenance to OEM standards while leveraging modern diagnostic equipment.

A strong repair background and teamwork are essential for success in a busy, supportive shop environment. The dealership offers a 4-day workweek, a climate-controlled shop around 70 degrees, and a certification-based pay plan that rewards experience and growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Automotive Service Technician experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong automotive diagnostic and repair background.
• Previous OEM/dealership experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate customer vehicles as an essential function.
• Ability to meet background screening and pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, heating and air conditioning, and related systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and manufacturer-specific service equipment to identify vehicle concerns.
• Test-drive vehicles as necessary to verify customer concerns and completed repairs.
• Communicate with Service Advisors regarding additional service or repair needs and estimated completion times.
• Perform warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

Actual compensation within the posted range is based on applicable experience, training, certifications, and qualifications. Additional compensation, if applicable, will be described as part of the hiring process.
