Job description

As an Automotive Technician, Goodyear can offer you:

As an Automotive Technician in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers, you will be responsible for professionally inspecting, diagnosing, and performing automotive services, while delivering an excellent guest experience. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and continually learn about new technologies in the rapidly changing automotive industry, while also being successful in a team environment.

What Our Automotive Technicians do:

• Troubleshoot problems and demonstrate strong diagnostic skills
• Inspect, Repair, and Diagnose systems such as brakes, suspension, alignment, engine performance, air conditioning, and coolant systems
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training to stay updated on automotive technology. Promote teamwork to ensure timely and accurate guest care during all operating hours
• Maintain standards of sales, service, safety, and housekeeping. Use protective equipment when operating machinery and tools
• Perform manual tasks, including lifting, standing, bending, and squatting, for extended periods

Basic Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license
• Must have at least three years of automotive repair experience, including diagnosis, problem-solving, and repairs
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Preferred Qualifications: ASE A4 Certification in Steering and Suspension, A5 Certification in Brakes, State inspection licenses, and/or MAC certification

• Ability to use diagnostic technology and applications effectively
• Use tools, skills, and product knowledge to make informed recommendations to guests based on manufacturer guidelines
