Job description

Vehicle Service (Full Time) • Shelby Township

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair, utilizing the expertise attained through ASE Certifications and/or years of automotive repair experience.

We are looking for automotive technicians/mechanics who can work independently and collaboratively with peers. Our full-service facility seeks technicians to help us foster a successful environment!

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you’ll perform a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, including:

• Diagnostics using advanced computer systems
• Tire repair and replacement
• Heating and air conditioning systems
• Steering and suspension systems
• Belt and hose replacements
• Radiator and cooling system repairs
• Battery, starting, and charging system services
• Brake system repairs
• Muffler and exhaust system services
• Visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently and work well in a team
• High personal productivity
• Knowledge of safety and environmental standards
• Experience with shop equipment (lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, scan tools)
• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree a plus
• State-specific auto repair certifications
• Valid driver’s license
• Own tools/equipment, including diagnostic scanners (preferred)
• Ability to service foreign and domestic vehicles
