Position Summary

The Automotive Technician plays a key role in our automotive service team. You will learn and develop skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, working under experienced technicians. Responsibilities include routine inspections, vehicle assessments, and repair assistance. You may also interact with customers to explain repairs and provide excellent service. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality work in a fast-paced environment. It offers a solid foundation in automotive repair and contributes to our team’s success.

Responsibilities
  • Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance
  • Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems
  • Install batteries and check electrical systems
  • Perform tire maintenance
  • Install parts
  • Road test vehicles
  • Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications within two years (company pays for tests; bonuses for passing)
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company and customer vehicles
  • Basic understanding of automotive maintenance and tire repair (oil changes, inspections, tire repairs)
  • Reading, writing, and math skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years automotive repair experience or vocational training
  • A.S.E. certification or equivalent
