Job summary

CarShop Mount Holly is actively hiring an Automotive Technician in Mount Holly, NJ. You will diagnose and repair a range of vehicles, work in a busy shop with consistent repair volume, and earn substantial income with performance incentives.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems to specification.
• Work on a wide variety of domestic and import vehicles.
• Complete repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and test vehicles end-to-end.
• Provide clear estimates and developer feedback to customers.

What will you do?

• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking and air conditioning to specification
• Work on a wide variety of domestic and import vehicles, not just warranty repairs
• Perform work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealer and manufacturer standards
• Complete full automotive troubleshooting and testing
• Propose creative, practical and cost‑effective solutions to problems and process improvements
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a clear, non‑technical manner to service advisors and customers
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs
• Ensure vehicles are repaired accurately and kept clean; road test vehicles to ensure quality repair the first time
• Maintain a clean and organised shop environment

What skills do you bring to the role?

• ASE certification preferred with 2‑5 years of experience required
• State and Emissions License preferred
• Strong work ethic: reliable and dependable
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding performance goals as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic
• Working knowledge of shop equipment including diagnostic tools, alignment systems, wheel and tire equipment and A/C equipment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Team‑oriented, flexible and focused on delivering a high level of customer service
• Take pride in producing quality work the first time
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment
• Willingness to learn and stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive technology
