Job summary

RG&T Solutions in the United States is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician to perform advanced diagnostics, complex mechanical and electrical repairs, ensuring quality work aligned with manufacturer standards and MAP guidelines.

You will lead drivability and electrical diagnostics using scan tools, execute advanced repairs, and validate outcomes with road tests, while communicating repair options to customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of automotive diagnosis and repair experience.
• ASE certifications or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work independently.

Role Overview: A Senior Automotive Technician performs advanced diagnostics, complex mechanical and electrical repairs, and ensures quality work aligns with manufacturer standards and MAP guidelines. They serve as a technical resource, support quality control, and collaborate with management and service staff to communicate repair recommendations and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive digital and multi-point vehicle inspections, noting safety concerns with documentation.
• Lead diagnosis of drivability, electrical, and mechanical issues using scan tools and testing procedures.
• Execute advanced repairs, validate repairs through road tests, and support quality assurance to reduce rework.
• Explain repair options clearly to team members and customers, building trust and confidence.
• Mentor technicians, share diagnostic best practices, and uphold safe work practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of automotive diagnosis and repair experience with proficiency in complex systems.
• Advanced diagnostic skills using scan tools, meters, and structured testing plans.
• ASE certifications or equivalent, with a commitment to ongoing learning.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to work independently, and strong communication skills.
• Preferred: ASE Master Technician or multiple ASE certifications, experience with advanced electrical and drivability diagnosis, and leadership abilities.
