Job summary

Auto Electric Company in Johnson City, TN, seeks an experienced automotive electrical technician to diagnose and repair complex electrical issues, including CANBUS systems. You will troubleshoot, replace components, and perform digital inspections while communicating fixes clearly to service advisors.

We offer a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with no weekends, a shop equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, and a supportive, family-like team focused on quality repairs and honest

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing automotive electrical systems and performing mechanical repairs.
• Must have professional diagnostic tools and a roll cart.
• ASE certifications preferred; clean driving record.
• Ability to explain fixes to service advisors.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex automotive electrical malfunctions including CANBUS systems.
• Troubleshoot and replace alternators, starters, batteries, and wiring networks.
• Perform digital inspections and explain required fixes to advisors.
• Maintain high QC to ensure first-time right repairs.
• Save and tag parts under warranty or as requested.

What We Need From You - Experience

• Strong background in automotive electrical system diagnosis and general mechanical repair.
• Tools: Must have a professional set of diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and a roll cart.
• Credentials: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. ASE certifications are highly preferred.
• Traits: Sharp analytical skills, attention to detail.
