Job summary

Principle Auto Grapevine is seeking an Automotive Technician to join a fast-growing, customer-focused team. The ideal candidate will diagnose and repair vehicles, communicate findings to the Service Advisor, and perform repairs to factory specifications.

ASE certification is preferred but not required; 2+ years of experience is advantageous. We offer a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled shop, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• ASE certified or pursuing certification preferred.
• 2+ years automotive technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on repair orders efficiently and per dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose using diagnostic tools.
• Repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional repairs and time estimates.
• Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.

Requirements

Job Summary: We are looking for a Service Technician to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will have a strong service technician background and ASE certified. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Automotive Technician experience preferred, but NOT required.
• ASE Certifications preferred, but NOT required.
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair preferred, but NOT required.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve.
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to collaborate with others effectively.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Valid US driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to clear a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
