Job summary

Clawson-Honda-of-Fresno is seeking an experienced automotive technician to inspect and diagnose vehicle malfunctions, install parts, and ensure road test success. You will manage repair orders and communicate with Advisors, Managers, and Dispatch to complete work promptly.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of technician experience, can diagnose complex issues, and work on domestic, foreign, and hybrid vehicles. A valid license and the ability to lift 150 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as automotive technician.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 150 lbs with a hand truck.
• Ability to work in tight spaces and walk/stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle issues accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare labor estimates and explain costs to customers.
• Road test and inspect vehicles before and after repairs.
• Maintain organized workspace and manage repair orders from start to finish.

Description

Candidates will be responsible for inspecting and diagnosing vehicle malfunctions. Honda technicians will be responsible for the installation of parts and making sure they work correctly by doing the “Road Test”. Our technicians will need to have the ability to diagnose and repair vehicles in a timely manner. Technicians will also be responsible for managing repair orders from start to finish. To be able to complete repair orders, technicians will need to be able to communicate effectively with Advisors, Managers, and Dispatch to be able to complete repair orders.

Responsibilities

• Utilize your expertise in automotive electrical systems, ADAS, Vehicle Maintenance, Schematics, Mechanical Knowledge to deliver top-notch service to our customers
• Diagnose and repair issues accurately and efficiently
• Estimate repair cost and provide detailed explanations to our customers
• Understand Schematics and technician manuals to troubleshoot complex vehicle issues
• Stay updated with industry standards and advancements in automotive technology
• Provide labor and tie estimates for automotive repairs
• Road test and inspect vehicles before and after repairs
• Clean and organized work space

Candidates will be required to walk/ stand for long periods. Candidates will need to drive manual transmission vehicles.
