Role Description This full-time, on-site Automotive Technician role is based in Elgin, IL. The Automotive Technician will perform routine vehicle maintenance, including inspections, fluid services, and oil changes, while identifying and addressing repair needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues, completing automotive repair and suspension work, and ensuring all services meet safety and quality standards. The role involves collaborating with service advisors, documenting repair findings, communicating clearly with team members, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. The technician is expected to follow shop procedures, use diagnostic tools and equipment appropriately, and contribute to a positive, trustworthy customer experience.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in vehicle maintenance and routine services, including oil changes and basic inspections.
• Proficiency in automotive repair and general maintenance & repair tasks across a range of vehicle systems.
• Experience with suspension diagnosis and repair, including alignment-related components.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, service equipment, and follow manufacturer and shop repair procedures.
• Relevant automotive certifications (e.g., ASE) or technical training are preferred.
• Prior experience as an automotive technician or mechanic in a professional shop environment.
• Strong attention to detail, safety-minded work habits, and reliability in meeting schedules and deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment.
